GPhC welcomes positive performance review from the PSA
Today we welcome the performance review published by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), which found that we have met all of the PSA’s Standards for Good Regulation, including for guidance and standards; education and training; registration; and fitness to practise.
The performance review cites, in particular, the GPhC’s fitness to practise process as an area of marked progress. Among the improvements cited in the PSA report are:

Nigel Clarke outlines GPhC work to develop the pharmacy workforce
GPhC chair Nigel Clarke addressed the RPS conference on 4 September 2016 on the regulator’s work to help assure pharmacy professionals are meeting standards throughout their careers.
During a session entitled, ‘How do we develop the workforce to deliver models of care?’ Nigel acknowledged the changes taking place in pharmacy and the need for the GPhC and the sector as a whole to play a part in ensuring pharmacy professionals are ready to meet needs of patients and the public now and in the future.
