The paper CPD submission facility will be withdrawn from the regular methods for submission of CPD entries with effect from 1 January 2016.

GPhC statement on Pharmacy2U medicines supply

We are aware of concerns relating to Pharmacy2U’s prescription medication delivery and we are carrying out a special inspection visit alongside NHS England.

We would advise any patients concerned about their medicines delivery to follow NHS England’s advice by contacting their local pharmacy and, if necessary, their GP at the earliest opportunity to ensure that they have a continuous supply of their medicines.

New report highlights how pharmacy professionals can help to improve medicines management in care homes

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) has published an independent report which highlights a number of key concerns in relation to the use of medicines in care homes in Great Britain.

 

The report was commissioned by the GPhC to inform and support a wider discussion about the roles that pharmacy professionals and community pharmacies can play in ensuring the safety and general health and wellbeing of care home residents receiving medication.
