Checking Stock Levels and Adjusting them
On the Point of Sale screen, scan the item.
The In Stock field will be shown directly under the item title.
This will show you the current stock levels for that particular item.
There could be occasions when the physical stock level doesn’t tally with the stock level on record. Lexpos Retailer provides the facility to adjust the stock for such a situation
On the Point of Sale screen, scan the item. Either press the Stock adjust key if you have a keyboard system or press the Stk Adj icon if you have a touch screen system. This box will appear.
You can then adjust the stock level of the item.
Adding an item on the Stock screen
If your item has a bar code but is not on the C+D database, go to the Stock screen and scan the items bar code. This box will pop up asking you ‘Code not found. Would you like to add this code to a new item?’
Click yes. You can set the price, supplier etc with the drop down option boxes. Click Save.
If your item doesn’t have a bar code go to the Stock screen and press New. In the Description box, type the item description, you can then set the price, supplier etc with the drop down option boxes. Click Save, when you do this a PIP code will be assigned to the new item. Make a note of this. Alternatively you could give the item a memorable PIP Code such as “123” or “LOLLY”.
