We announce two new council members

We have announced the appointment of two new members to our governing council.

Elizabeth Mailey joins the Council as a registrant member. Elizabeth has worked in a number of different environments within healthcare during her career and currently works as a Specialist Mental Health Pharmacist within the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

GPhC to respond to judicial review of standards

The Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA) is seeking to challenge by way of judicial review the legality of the decision by the GPhC’s Council to approve new standards for pharmacy professionals which state that “The standards need to be met at all times, not only during working hours”(1).

A date for the hearing has been set for 23 March 2017 (2).
