GPhC appoints three new pharmacist members to its Board of Assessors

The GPhC has appointed three pharmacist members to its Board of Assessors – Professor Alison Strath, Dr Mat Smith and Ahmed Aboo.

 

Commenting on the appointments, Nigel Clarke, Chair of the GPhC, said:

 

“I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Alison, Mat and Ahmed to their new roles. The Board of Assessors plays a vital role in providing quality assurance for the registration assessment and I am sure our new members will make a significant contribution.”

Statement following the result of the EU referendum

Commenting on the implications of the recent EU referendum, Duncan Rudkin, Chief Executive of the GPhC, said:

“It is too early to say what, if any, are the legal implications for pharmacy regulation of the vote to leave the European Union. Current arrangements, including for EU pharmacy professionals already registered or training in Britain, and for those seeking to register or train in Britain, remain in force. This will continue to be the position unless and until the law is changed.”
